Fighter bioJohnny Walker – General Profile
Johnny Walker (Walker Johnny da Silva Barra de Souza), known for his dynamic and unorthodox striking style, is a Brazilian mixed martial artist competing in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. Born on March 30, 1992, in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he is recognized for his explosive knockouts and high-level athleticism.
MMA Career
Walker turned professional in 2013 and entered the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2018. He quickly made an impact with a series of spectacular finishes. While he has been involved in several bonus-worthy performances, recent setbacks include back-to-back knockout losses that have challenged his standing in the division.
Fighting Style
Standing at 6’6″ with a long reach (approx. 82 inches), Walker is a tall, rangy striker. His style is built around creativity and unpredictability—featuring spinning elbows, flying knees, and powerful hooks. Equipped with elite athleticism, his fights often end in dramatic highlights when he is on his game.
Recent Developments
As of August 2025, Walker is ranked within the UFC light heavyweight top 15. He has recently relocated from Ireland to Las Vegas to train under a new coaching team at Xtreme Couture, seeking a career resurgence. He’s currently rebuilding momentum and preparing for a return to the Octagon.
